Decoration of the Throne Room is due to King Enrique IV. It was covered by a wooden dome with eight sides done by the moor master Xadel Alcalde in the fifteenth century. It was burnt in the fire of 1862 and the structure visible today comes from Urones de Castroponce, a village in Valladolid. It is identical to the original, and made by the same author. It is supported by the original friezes.
